Health Scares Can Be Transformative

On March 5, 2024 the radiologist looked into my eyes and said "I believe you have two cancer spots on your left breast. I do this all the time. Based on your family history, I feel very strongly that you have breast cancer. Here is a box of tissues if you need it."

Dealing with breast cancer was not on my agenda for 2024. I feel like most of us live our lives, thinking that other people have health scares, and it's not gonna happen to us. Well, here we are.

So, in this episode, I vulnerably share my experience, up until now, with this diagnosis. More details will unfold as things progress. Here is the poem I created a few days after the diagnosis. Please share with anyone you know can relate.

Some people want to fight you
Some people let you grow
I want to get to know you, and hear about your show
I know you want to tell me a story or a tale
