When we think of World War II, Australia may not be the first nation that comes to mind. In fact it may not even be the second. But what if I told you that this small, far-off country punched well above its weight—not just once, but several times—throughout the war?

Australia was involved in some of the most pivotal moments of the war, fighting right up to the final day Japan surrendered. Was Australia even needed in World War 2? You bet it was. Army, Navy, Airforce at home and abroad. Australia wasn't just supporting, they were part of the main act.
