Genesis Chapter Twenty Nine sees more divine intervention with Jacob landing in the land of his uncle, his mom’s brother, Laban. Jacob knows right away what his future looks like, at least who it is with, Rachel. Laban, an opportunist, ensures that he controls Jacob and the marriage with Leah illustrates this and chapter nine tells more family drama and deception. Chapter Thirty continues the story by furthering the lineage of Abraham through Jacob and his family with children through his wives and their maid servants and another example of how God blesses even in unconventional manners.
