Genesis Chapter Thirty tells the story of another sibling rivalry aside from the one already on display between Jacob and Esau. This time, between Rachel and Leah. The previous chapter tells about the marriages between Leah and Rachel to Jacob and the circumstances surrounding each and chapter thirty builds upon this with the beginning of Jacob’s own family and the continuous lineage of Abraham’s descendants.
