ON THE LONG JOURNEY HOME

I wrote On The Long Journey Home for my son Adam Cochrane's memorial song. He had served a tour in Iraq, while in the Army. Somehow he'd sustained spinal injuries, PTSD, and was very depressed. An expert in computer security IT, a marksman and a linguest, Adam was talented in many different areas. He spoke at least five languages and could sing opera in German and Italian. Adam also had a heart of gold and was always there for others. He was my only child here on Earth. He killed himself. Adam died on July 6, 2024. I didn't know until 9 days after Hurricane Byral, as we had no power until 9 1/2 days later. He was 28 years old.
