It's the Cross, Cross Baby, And Some Power Would Be Nice!

I Corinthians 2:1-5

Today we journey through Paul's words to the Corinthians further on the message of the gospel being about the cross exclusively, and thus has nothing to do with any accolades or pedigree we may bring to the table. We also talk about how Corinth's wrong-headed emphasis on following men instead of Jesus is what led them to their troubles, and is a model today for why we are experiencing the same thing when we do likewise. Paul also closes out with a subtle but poignant reminder that it's about the cross, and the power of God that is should actually be palpable and identifiable in our midst.
