Plant is "alive"; follows wherever hand is moved, reaches out for you

Watch closely. There was no wind at all when I recorded this yesterday.
The plants’s “gaze” follows my hand (I’m not sure how to word it, since plants don’t have eyes or a face. But it seems to be watching /looking at and following where I put my hand).

I shared this video in my city's local reddit group, because I wanted to see if more local people could start paying attention to this kind of thing.
The very next morning, this plant and all of the ones near it were completely removed by the park maintenance crew. Coinicidence?
