How to Make Apple Pie Jam

Today, we are turning apples into Apple Pie Jam. This recipe is a homesteading favorite that captures all of the sun and fun of summer and preserves it to be enjoyed all winter long. We had a horrible year for apples, with 7 apples collected from 4 trees; not good. We went to a Minenite farmers' market and purchased 20 lbs of perfectly ripened Courtland and Golden Delicious apples. Along with sugar, pectin, and a few choice spices, these apples become a constant reminder throughout the winter that God's goodness is enough to sustain us in any season.
