Chris Colbert Gets STOPPED in PROBOX Debut: He Let The Hood Down

After watching the Chris Colbert vs Omar Salido fight last night on PROBOX. As the fight continued, it became painfully obvious that Chris was a shot fighter. At the beginning of the fight, Chris moved a lot around.

Chris landed some good shots on Salcido, but he would eventually do what he does best, get on his back foot and run. Salcido pressed the action the entire fight.

Chris started holding and grabbing in the mid-rounds. Yesterday, I was quoted as saying, "I did not have faith in Chris. If I had to bet money on the fight, I would bet on Omar."

I said Chris often drops his hands, backs straight back in a line, and leaves his chin in the air. I even made a song about it on this show. Chris did exactly what I thought he was going to do.

He reminds me of Adrien Broner. Once these so-called slick black fighters get knocked out, or beat badly by a pressure fighter, they go into a shell and refuse to let their hands go.

They become afraid of the pressure and go into retreat mode. Fight or flight mode so to speak. Chris has been stopped 2 fights in a row. He was knocked out by El Rayo in 2023.

His trainer was so disappointed in his performance, that he told Chris in the 8th, "if you don't show me something this round, I'm gonna stop the fight. When the 9th round came, the trainer stopped the fight.

In my opening monologue, I ended by saying this. Don't be surprised if Omar Salcido pulls off the upset. I was right.
