The history of Haiti has been that of external interference for as long as it has been a country. From the Spanish several hundred years ago, to the French Empire of the 1800s, to the American Empire in modern form, Haiti has always been forced to take orders from outsiders.

The destabilization of the nation has also been one large earthquake away, even back in the mid-1700s, in addition to the political instability that has always been a part of its society. With the addition of Bill & Hillary Clinton to a desperate situation, Haiti might have signed a new deal with the Devil after all.
