Nolan is reportedly working on a remake of "The Prisoner" following his film "Oppenheimer," while Bale is set to star in "The Bride," slated for release in 2025.

Despite the absence of a legitimate sequel to "The Dark Knight," the Batman franchise is far from dormant. Two live-action Batman movies are currently in development. "The Batman 2," directed by Matt Reeves and featuring Robert Pattinson's Batman, is set to expand the DC Elseworlds universe in 2026. Additionally, "The Brave and the Bold," produced by James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Studios, will introduce a new Batman actor within Gunn's DCU, following his upcoming Superman project.
