Scotland Criticized for Using Diesel Generators to Keep Wind Turbines Running in Cold Weather

Scotland's power sector came under criticism after it was revealed that diesel generators were being used to ensure dozens of wind turbines could function.

"According to the Sunday Mail, they were tipped off by a whistleblower... [that] half a dozen diesel generators [were] running for up to six hours a day to de-ice the wind turbines."
