Graham Hancock is a Liar: Pop-culture Frauds and Grifters Exposed

Graham Hancock is an author that has made his millions fabricating ancient histories. I recently watched an episode of his new Netflix docuseries, "Ancient Apocalypse," mostly because it features Saqsaywaman and The Temple of the Moon, both of which are Incan ruin complexes near my home in Peru. In the space of less than ten minutes, I caught Hancock outright lying or deliberately misleading the viewer in order to support his theories several times. Since this isn't the first time I've seen Hancok play loose with the truth, I decided to expose his most recent lies in this stream.

Why do I care? As a person that has devoted his life to questioning the norms of our culture and seeking truth, especially that truth which lies outside of the norm, I take offense to grifters like Hancock, Terence Horward, and Billy Carson. They, along with their followers, cast the freethinkers and iconoclasts in our society in a bad light. Worse, and rather ironically, they discourage people from breaking with the rank and file by reinforcing the perception that outside of the box thinkers are all idiots and nutjobs, bereft of common sense and critical thinking. They serve the purposes of the Machine they purport to be dismantling. There is even an element of predation inherent in what they do, since their popularity is largely a product of a widespread realisation among the populace that the Matrix cant be trusted.

Attaining to a higher level of consciousness collectively is the single most important task of our time. Escaping the mainstream consciousness just to get dragged down with nonsense is no better than remaining asleep; worse, even. We need to set an example and set a high bar for ourselves. In this Lightstream, we will take a few steps forward on the Path of Truth and Light.
