Black Ant (traditional)

Hook: #12 - 20 fine wire for dry, regular for wet
Thread: black
Abdomen: black fine dubbing
Legs: black dry fly hackle sized to hook
Thorax: black fine dubbing

Can be tied as a cinnamon ant with rusty brown thread and dubbing

Head cement recipe:
Goop
Xylene (epoxy thinnner)

Instructions:
Fill a quart jar half full with Xylene
Squeeze a tube of Goop into the Xylene
Shake until the Goop is dissolved; add Xylene to desired consistency

Apply with a pin or needle dipped in the liquid
