Ep. 227 Smile 2 (A Movie that told #joker2, ‘HOLD MY BEER!’) WORSE than a DAILY SOAP OPERA!

I don’t even know where to begin with #smile2…

First and foremost, I absolutely ADORED the first “Smile” film. And being #halloween, what better way to celebrate than with a hopeful sequel to one of the most DISTURBING, GORE-INFESTED, PSYCHOLOGICALLY messed up films to date…

At least we thought anyways.

We know sequels can be hit-or-miss… Clearly 2024 has proven time and time again that they are absolute atrocities to their first counterparts. And it honestly ticks me off! Because some, including the first ‘Joker’ film, are truly INCREDIBLE movies. $BILLION$ dollar movies in fact.

The first ‘Smile’ brought something different, something unique. Something we haven’t seen before in the horror genre. As mentioned in this video… I still have nightmares around the ending of the first film when the DEMON reveals itself!

Then we get this “Smile 2” movie… Sure the trailer showed a different perspective, but I thought, ‘Hey, maybe this will be decent?’ Boy was I wrong!

Please, please do not waste your time or money on this…

Let me be clear, go and see #terrifier3 instead. We’ll be focusing on that film in our upcoming “Halloween SPOOKTACULAR!” coming next week from yours truly Spot of Nerd!

‘Smile 2’ is a simple copy-paste of the original movie. It even took a lesson from the second Joker film by sticking a metaphoric middle finger to its audience saying, ‘HA, you thought we’d give you something great!’

Instead we got duped once more and will never be able to get those two hours of my life back…
