**BEWARE the Last-Minute Naysayers Threaten Integrity of Campaign Season** 10/21/2024 A REBUTTAL to recent illegitimate attacks on candidates by local & out-of-town MARKS, including some who have taken time off from extra curricular activities like stealing campaign signs.
11th hour naysayers. Like a herpes flare-up on prom night, as the frenzy of the campaign season reaches its peak a familiar and troubling pattern emerges. The MARKS suddenly appear. If speed is of the essence these are last-place finishers at best, intent on derailing meaningful discussions and injecting divisive rhetoric into an already charged atmosphere.
After multiple public forums, podcasts, meet & greets, etc. voters have engaged in meaningful discussions with the candidates about the critical issues impacting Stockton and San Joaquin County. Yet these last-minute unknowns, having been noticeably absent from the above mentioned activities all year long, have chosen now at the eleventh hour to spew poison into the conversation. They sow confusion rather than clarity.
DATA POINT: Timing is everything. Why are these “Johnny-come-lately” MARKS making their voices heard now? Why are they choosing this moment in time to share their breath-taking pseudo-insider information? One must question the timing and motivations of individuals with all the ethics of a child pornographer.
If their insights were genuinely significant why did they not contribute to the dialogue earlier? Echoing like a discordant note at a symphony their sudden emergence raises red flags about their motivations. When examining their commentary we must question its relevance.
Are they addressing the issues that voters genuinely care about (PG&E rates, grocery prices, retail theft, rent control, vagrancy) or are they simply more intent on CHARACTER ASSASSINATION? Fueled by jealousy and a thirst for sensationalism these MARKS employ fear-driven tactics, fanning flames of fear and division without offering any real solutions. A serious distraction from the important conversations we need to be having. Social media has become a breeding ground for this type of negative engagement, with fake profiles, photo-shopped memes, and statements that range from ambiguous to ridiculous.
If these MARKS possess such profound insights into our society’s challenges one must wonder why they’re not stepping up to run for office themselves and implementing their ideas. Instead, they prefer to hide behind keyboards and fake profiles, spouting negativity without accountability. Their absence of constructive proposals only underscores the inadequacy of their already lame allegations.
As voters, we must remain vigilant and discerning. Let us not be swayed by the noise of the last-minute critics who prioritize sensationalism over substance. The future of our democracy starts with rejecting the distractions of the MARKS and nay-sayers. Lets demand better for our political landscape.
