CAVE EXPLORING | Digging Leads to Big Discovery

We went back to our cave survey project to try and dig a new entrance. On our last cave exploration, we found a small opening in the ceiling that let a little bit of sunlight shine down into the cave below. We couldn’t dig our way out from inside the cave. But Mark had a smart idea! He pushed his bright fluorescent t-shirt up through the opening so we could see it from outside.

When we returned the next weekend, we found Mark’s t-shirt sticking out of the skylight. We started digging at this new spot. Did we break through? Check out this video to see what happened!
