This Week @MidwayTrades for the Week Ending October 18, 2024: When Calendars Work with Higher IV

I've noticed that this month even though IV is on the traditionally higher end, that long Vega trades like calendars are working well which is not typical. So I did a bit of analysis and came up with an explanation as to why...and, of course, put on another calendar trade. Take a look and see my conclusion and let me know what you think.
