Texas Tortoise... In North Dakota?

Found this guy years ago while working at a state park in North Dakota. Fish And Game was shocked when they heard a tortoise was going around. He was suspected to be a dumped pet and taken to the Zoo.

A non native species like a Texas Tortoise is not really a risk to devastate the ecosystem like some non native species, hence it wasn't invasive, but would likely have frozen to death over the winter.
