Welcome to the Feast of Tabernacles 2024!

On behalf of the Church of God International, Canada, and the Feast Planning Committee, we warmly welcome our members and visitors who have chosen Collingwood to honor our Most High God during His appointed time – The Feast of Tabernacles/Last Great Day 2024.

This is not just a mere gathering of God’s people across the globe. This festival is not a man-made or non-biblical celebration; it's a commanded assembly straight from the Bible. Let the Word of God confirm this:

Leviticus 23: “The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord… These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations…”

We are celebrating this festival because our Creator said we should. It comes at a time when the world is in turmoil – a never-ending cycle of war, crime, corruption, poverty, and social chaos. Despite the many solutions attempted to solve these global issues, none have succeeded.

But there is hope! This very festival brings a message of hope that one day the constitution of humanity will undergo radical change; the kingdoms of this world will be no more, and Divine rule will soon prevail. Jesus Christ is coming to establish an everlasting kingdom that will reign forever. No government or force of evil can stop it from happening. That’s the reality of these meaningful eight days as we come together to celebrate and give glory to God.

Our theme for this year is “Thy Kingdom Come - Quickly!” What could be more fitting? As God’s people, we know that creation groans in pain, waiting for the redemption of our bodies. Romans 8:22-25 reminds us that we are saved by hope, and we patiently wait for what we cannot yet see.

As we celebrate, we await the return of our Lord and Savior. Have a rewarding and inspiring time as we rejoice together for the coming of Christ.
