SHOOTING AT GAS STATION / STORE ON 146, PROVIDENCE TEXAS, 10/23/24...

Shooting at Store on 146, PROVIDENCE, October 23, 2024 - Sometime during the 12 noon hour, a shooting occurred at Future Wise gas / grocery located on US-146 at FM-1988. Polk County Sheriff, Byron Lyons, and deputies along with detectives, constables, and state troopers were on the scene. The shooting appears to have happened in the parking lot of Future Wise as there were shell casings on the ground with markers. An Air Life medical helicopter landed in the parking lot of Future Wise and flew the gunshot victim from the scene. It is not yet known to PolkCountyToday.com who the shooter is, the circumstances that led to the shooting, or if the shooter is in custody.
