Intermezzo - The Sound Of War

The sound of war: Kyiv, Maidan Nezalezhnosti, 21 October 2024.

Unfortunately, but understandably, the Ukrainian government currently does not allow to take pictures inside the Metro stations, for obvious security reasons. I'd love to have shown the scared faces of thousands of Kyiv residents seeking shelter from Russian bombs and missiles deep down underground. Whilst some residents apparently got used to the sound of war, it's hard to tell how many in this clip in my vicinity are actually seeking shelter. We only see one man in blue @ 01:08 + who's definitely hurrying to the underground shelter.

That day, however, the Russians only hit something in the far outskirts of the city, as I've observed a large plume of smoke there from afar, one hour later.
