OpenAI's AGI Czar Quits - Says "NO ONE is READY For This"

Miles Brundage, OpenAI's former AGI readiness leader, has resigned, warning that neither the company nor the world is prepared for the arrival of artificial general intelligence (AGI). After six years in what he called his "dream job," Brundage stepped down, feeling a deep sense of responsibility for the human-level AI that he believes OpenAI is helping to develop.

In a post on his Substack, Brundage shared his decision to influence AI development from outside the industry. He expressed serious concerns, stating that OpenAI and other leading labs aren't ready for what's coming—and neither is the world.
