A 12-year-old is traumatized by the murder of his friend, a star basketball player. Nathaniel "Cornbread" Hamilton was the black urban dream and a hero of two youngsters. Weeks before he would become the first man from his community to go to college, the police killed him by mistake. In the aftermath, the community face of an intimidating police cover-up.
