his is Take 2, of 3 at this session, of 'The Eighth Sin'. All 3 versions were cut in different arrangements, altering the nuances slightly each performance.

The longer gap between the 7th and 8th verses, that's intentional. You have this vainglorious boaster, detailing his excesses and revelling in his lack of moral compass - then, the song pulls back, and in the last verse, what is he rueing that he has NOT got? The love of his life, and therefore, his existence.
