My First Time Playing Dark Souls ep 46 Chasm of the Abyss, Dragon Fails

We continue further in the depths of the Oolacile Township, killing the warped denizens therein. At the bottom of the town, in the dungeons in fact, there is a crack in the wall leading to the Chasm of the Abyss. Lot's of mutants here and an army of souls. The humanity itself given form. We chase the cat lady, friend of Artorias, to an elevator shortcut. Equipped with the pendant we try to take on the Dragon again, thinking it will protect us from his dark breath. Apparently the dark is just color, as it does fire damage still and we die quickly. Ok then, back to the abyss.
