The Foundational Problem of Authority 🤡🤡🤡 #Rationality #Reason #Philosophy

Real authority comes from authorship—the insights of the original thinkers who genuinely understood reality. But what most of us learned didn’t come understanding these original authors. Instead, we were taught to conform to our teacher's understanding who then conformed with understanding of its own teacher. At some point their understanding was assumed to be accurate, often without truly examining its roots. In fact, we were rewarded for conforming to the interpretations of our professors rather than verifying our knowledge against the author’s actual discoveries.

This degradation from the original author to today’s teachers has transformed knowledge into a system of replication rather than true understanding. A system to achieve grades, rather than understanding. The ones who pioneered insights wrote their findings into books, aiming to bridge their understanding with others. Yet over time, those books became distanced from their intent as interpretations grew further removed from the author’s reality. The book became a source to be repeated, usually without understanding the author's struggle with understanding reality itself. Today’s academic systems now reward students simply for parroting the text or matching their professor’s interpretation, emphasizing grades and credentials over genuine comprehension.

As a result, those in power—the so-called “authorities”—are often products of this very system. Across many fields, we see the effects of this misaligned structure, from stagnation to the rampant use of logical fallacies that obscure the truth. Many in authority positions lack a true grasp of reality, instead clinging to a system that rewards them for fitting its mold.

In upcoming discussions, I will demonstrate the foundational flaws in these so-called experts' logic and methods, highlighting where the “Church of Science” has misguided us. I invite you to think critically, question what you’re told, and consider a new method for navigating the world with clarity and precision.
