IN MEMORY OF MY FRIEND

Diem was not only a friend but a kind hearted woman who treated everyone with patience. She was a survivor of hard and difficult times and left Vietnam to choose Halifax, Canada to be her home. She was a woman who knew the meaning of difficult and hard work and kept to the challenge. Hard work paid off and she built a home for her self and family. And for awhile, me too. A home she invited me to stay with her family. She loved her courtyard garden very much and I helped to keep her ground tiles clean of dirt. As time passes we will always lose members of friends and family. With each loss a little piece of ourselves as well.
