William Cooper, a well-known conspiracy theorist, had a lot to say about JFK’s assassination, and he often referenced a theory involving the CIA, a "driver," and some deep-state orchestration. In his book Behold a Pale Horse, Cooper put forward a theory that goes something like this: the CIA orchestrated JFK’s assassination, with the supposed trigger pulled by none other than the driver of Kennedy’s car. According to Cooper, the driver, William Greer, fired a hidden gun that killed Kennedy, all in a split-second move that was hidden by the chaos of the event.

Cooper’s version of events paints this as a high-level setup by the CIA, claiming they saw JFK as a threat to the established order, particularly because of his rumored desire to dismantle certain intelligence agencies and expose covert operations. In this line of thinking, Kennedy’s anti-war stance, particularly with Vietnam, clashed with the CIA’s aims, making him a target for removal.

Cooper pointed to specific moments in the Zapruder film, interpreting them to support his theory of Greer’s involvement. But it's worth mentioning that this interpretation hasn’t found much backing among mainstream researchers or investigators. For most analysts, the more conventional view is that Lee Harvey Oswald acted either alone or with limited support, rather than Greer being involved in any way.
