Scouts of the Guards motorized rifle regiment of the army corps of the Vostok group of forces seized foreign weapons, including a batch of American-made Javelin anti-tank missile systems (ATGMs).

After taking another Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) stronghold in the South Donetsk direction of the special military operation, the fighters found abandoned enemy weapons, equipment and ammunition. Almost all weapons are made in foreign countries. In addition to the Javelin ATGM, Ukrainian militants threw an American M2 Browning heavy machine gun, grenades and a lot of ammunition at the positions.

"The task was to go to the dominant height... We went in, gained a foothold, and held the defense for a day. UAVs flew, there were drops, they fired at us from tanks and artillery. Four of us were injured. Three of them were taken out, but I did not go out," said a soldier of the motorized rifle regiment of the Vostok group of troops with the call sign "Platon".

According to him, foreign weapons are not a rare prey for the scouts of the Vostok group of forces, the fighters transfer some of the trophies to the command, and use something themselves against the enemy.

"We consider everything there to be trophies. We use something to our advantage, we transfer something to the command. This time, ammunition, Javelin ATGM, and heavy machine guns were captured during the assault. Some of the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine escaped and left everything in the support. The weapons were mostly American, French, German and other Western countries," Platon said.
