All too often the RCMP and other police forces fail to stand up for themselves in the face of blatant lies and media misrepresentations. This has caused mistrust of the police and in my opinion needs to stop. The police in Canada should take a page from the Poke County sheriff in Florida and speak the truth when confronted with lies.
