Hindsight Retrospective 2020: "Election Eve" [02 November]

The second biggest event of 2020 (not as a matter of importance, but as a temporal event) was the presidential election. All year we had been told that the opposition would cheat to "win" the election. We saw Zucker Bucks being channeled to provide remote voting boxes in certain parts of certain states. We heard about Ballot Harvesting, and the infamous "mail in voting."
If March 2020 [lock down] was when the first shoe dropped, the second shoe fell in November. Here we go again. By the end of this week we'll have a better idea on which track we can expect the USA to travel.
The optimism I had in 2020 was destroyed. I had to re-group (today I'd call it "reprogram") my psyche to travel through those next four years. Now those four years are the past four years. I'm prepared to reprogram my psyche again. It will be necessary regardless of the outcome of this 2024 election. I can do another four years semi-disappointed. The changes in the US are coming from the changes in the world. Whichever captain at the helm will have to weather the storm.
