32. Feeding the Four Thousand (Mark 8:1 - 13)

Jesus' ministry among the Gentiles brings him on a return visit to the Decapolis, where earlier he had healed the Gadarene Demoniac. On that occasion, the people of the region had asked Jesus to leave, but now the crowds gather to him. As Jesus prepares to depart, he feeds the crowd of 4000, giving to those who clung to his presence the deepest satisfaction, meeting needs of both body and soul.
