After a targeted article was written about Dan and his wife in Military.com, which labeled him as an extremist, the National Guard opened an investigation on Dan, although he has been noted as an exemplary National Guardsman. We discuss the recent DOD Directive 5240.01 as well as the introduced Congressional bill, Preventing Private Paramilitary Act of 2024.
