1147 The Devil's Rope a Dope

In 1147 The Devil's Rope a Dope, Rev. Catania shows us that whenever we are going to try to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, the devil is going to come against us. We have a plan to do a certain thing. The devil then throws something at us. How do we respond? Do we allow him to draw us in and waste energy on our senses based default reaction or are we going to respond spiritually? The adversary knows what button to push with us personally to get us to do the wrong thing. If we resist the devil, he will flee. Don't fight the devil's fight his way, fight it God's way. We can ask God how to respond to an attack. We can't fight the devil our way, we must fight him God's way. The devil is trying to entice us to respond in our usual fleshly way. Don't fall for that trick. Respond spiritually. If we fight the devil's way we will always lose. Don't allow the devil to trick us. Instead of going back to our usual reaction, we just ask God what the right response is. We will blow if we are not continuing to seek God first and are not doing His will. Jesus responded to the devil's attack with "It is written". We need to stay in God's will and not our own. There is always going to be some kind of response when we want to do things God's way, so don't be surprised. When we stand on the Word, the adversary is going to stand against us and we need to be prepared. God will do His part to help us. We just need to seek Him first. We do not seek our will first. We stay put until we get our answer.
