Is Joe Biden trying to take out the trash?

Joe Biden, whether he knows it or not, just dealt a major blow to Kamala's presidential efforts by calling half the country garbage. Although Biden has his moments of cluelessness, one has to wonder how bitter he is about his ousting. Are his latest comments simply ignorance and unawareness? Or did Old Joe just intentionally sabotage the woman who replaced him on the ticket?
