The 10+2 rule, also known as Importer Security Filing (ISF), is a requirement introduced by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to enhance supply chain security by allowing CBP to identify and assess potential risks associated with imported cargo before it reaches US ports. Importers are required to submit 10 data elements, including information about the manufacturer, seller, buyer, consignee, and others involved in the transaction, as well as 2 additional data elements from the ocean carrier.
