Generac 16kW generator - Stepper Motor and Choke Plate fix and operation

This video shows the stepper motor / controller for the throttle and the solenoid for the choke plate going through their movements during engine startup on a 16kW NG Generac 16kW generator (model 0052540, serial 4643547). I had replaced the stepper motor to fix an Overspeed shut-off error condition on our generator. Although the old stepper motor measured good at all it's windings (10-11 Ohms was read at each of them), there was a "hitch" in the travel of the motor through its range of movement - I think that prevented proper control of the engine speed and would lead to the overspeed condition that triggered a safety shutdown.
The new stepper motor is moving smoothly through its full range of travel - you can see that in the video, too.
