A Plague Tale Requiem Episode 1 Under a New Sun- Commentary

1349. Amicia and Hugo de Rune fled their homeland—a land devastated by war, rats, and the forces of the Inquisition, who sought to get their hands on the young boy and the unearthly power he inherited. Along the country lanes, they have found a little peace, with their mother, Béatrice and their companion Lucas, an apprentice alchemist. They are now discovering the County of Provence, where they hope to learn more about the Macula—the sickness that runs through Hugo's veins.

A tragic incident with some peasants compelled Amicia to kill again, while Hugo took refuge in a vision of an idyllic island which might hold a cure for the Macula. Caught by her victim's relatives, Amicia must save her own family in a brutal confrontation which leaves her traumatized. Now at the doorstep of the Red City, all four are looking for Vaudin, Magister of the Order, whom Béatrice wishes to consult about Hugo's sickness.
