I wrote this song many years ago before we were married. We started out with a long distance relationship. I wrote these lyrics during expressing how I felt at that time.

She asked me if I thought that she was crazy
For missing me so much
I said no, then told her one of my jokes
She laughed and cried, then told me that it hurts most
When she needs a hug
She's been having crazy dreams about us
The lonely nights are getting to be too much
And I know it's hard
Every now and then she has a bad day
And she doesn't need to hear what I say
She needs my arms
But...

I'm up north, she's down south
For what it's worth things have worked out
But there are days she gets tears
They go away, but he still has fears
I know it's strange and so unclear
She goes insane, or just gets weird
But that's OK, she gets that way
When she misses me

We watch the same shows, and she blows me kisses
But I can't hug her, and I'm the one she misses
Even though we're far apart
When we look at the stars, we see the same ones
We both get burned by same sun
So I'm not that far
