Actions have consequences
We see the story of Cain and Abel, a powerful narrative about jealousy, responsibility, and consequences. Cain’s envy over his brother Abel leads to one of the earliest depictions of a tragic choice—choosing anger over resolution. In life, jealousy can blind us to our own responsibilities. Instead of taking a step back and understanding his emotions, Cain allows them to drive him into destructive action. This teaches us that while emotions are natural, how we handle them is what truly matters. By addressing feelings early, communicating openly, and seeking guidance when needed, we can avoid making decisions that not only harm others but also define us in negative ways. We learn that blame and avoidance never work in the long term; facing our emotions head-on is key.
