This relates to the mathematical concept of limits and infinitesimals, often explored in calculus. As you divide the perimeter of a circle into smaller and smaller sections, you can approximate its curve more accurately by using progressively smaller squares or polygons.
Each square can only approximate the curvature locally, but as the number of squares increases infinitely and their size decreases, the total shape increasingly resembles the circle.
This is a form of convergence, where an infinite process yields a precise approximation of a curved figure, even though each individual square has straight edges.
