Al Jazeera's Tareq Abu Azzoum joins live from Deir el-Balah, Gaza. He reports hearing a massive explosion in the Nuseirat refugee camp, roughly eight kilometers (about five miles) from his location. According to medical officials at al-Awda Hospital, at least 14 Palestinians have been killed and 70 others wounded since the early hours of the morning in the Nuseirat camp alone. Abu Azzoum describes intense Israeli attacks, with naval warships and ground forces involved in the area. He notes that people are arriving at the hospital in animal-drawn carts, as access is severely restricted for civil defense and emergency workers due to the active presence of Israeli military drones.
