Photoelectric effect

The photoelectric effect occurs when light strikes a material and causes the emission of electrons. It demonstrates that light has particle-like properties, as only light with sufficient energy (frequency) can eject electrons, regardless of its intensity. This phenomenon provided key evidence for quantum theory and led to the development of modern physics, particularly the concept of photons
