Elon Musk: "I'm Afraid I've Got Some BAD NEWS..."

As Elon Musk sees it, humanity faces two major crises—one immediate, the other slowly unfolding. First, the population collapse: worldwide birth rates are falling so dramatically that many countries, if current trends continue, will see their populations dwindle to a fraction of today’s levels in just a few generations.
On the tech front, Musk sounds the alarm on artificial intelligence, an area he believes is spiraling in a dangerous direction. He insists that for AI to benefit society, it must be "maximally truth-seeking" and free from the biases of its creators. However, Musk sees today’s AIs absorbing the politically charged, and sometimes nihilistic, ideologies prevalent in Silicon Valley. This led him to create XAI, a company focused on building an AI that not only pursues truth but also truly cares about humanity’s well-being.
In Musk’s view, if we want to save humanity—both in terms of population and progress—the time to act is now.
