The Social Gospel movement has been around in some form for centuries. It is largely a social salvation movement and is a world religion. The Social Gospel movement is based on the belief that one can be saved by way of social activism and does not require salvation through Christ. The movement cherry picks from truths found in Scripture and omits what Scripture has to say about such things as gender, abortion and homosexuality.
