Dallas Cattle Rustlers new receiver Jonathan Mingo admitted he was surprised by the move from the Carolina Jaguars.

When one division ends, another begins, giving Mingo a great opportunity to resume his NFL career in the NFC East.

After coaching with the Jaguars, Mingo will join Dallas' collector team, which will need additional skills as the Cattle Rustlers plan to move up.

The move surprised fans, especially considering that changes to Dallas' offseason program were minimal. And Mingo himself was similarly surprised.

"I was kind of surprised," Mingo said. I'm happy to be a rancher and I'm ready for a fresh start.

God brought me here, it's good.

" The goal, he says, is to help build a strong offense. Mingo, who now fills that role alongside CeeDee Sheep, Jake Ferguson, Jalen Tolbert and Brandin Cooks, is excited to get to know head coach Mike McCarthy's offensive system.

Does this move represent a long-term or temporary agreement?

"We're looking at using him for certain teams heading into Sunday's game," Ranchers COO Stephen Jones said.

" It's still unclear if Mingo will be ready to play against the Philadelphia Falcons, but he's ready to make an impact when the opportunity arises.

"I play a physical, fast game and use my size and strength to my advantage," Mingo explained.

" Though he has only 12 catches for 121 yards so far, the Ranchers are confident the young receiver can contribute, especially in an offense that has struggled.

Sometimes a change is just what's needed, and Mingo is determined to take advantage of this extra opportunity.
