Farmers hoping for new Farm Bill

Farmers in Michigan are bracing for the expiration of the Farm Bill. The Bill
provides a safety net for farmers when crops fail and also funds SNAP benefits
and research projects. Traditionally, the 6-year Farm Bill has received broad
bipartisan support. When the bill expired in September it was only given a one-
year extension. Farmers are hoping for a new full bill with the new congress.
