Watchman on the Tower - Sign of the Times - Ezekiel 12

Vision is supernatural but sometimes must play out before our eyes because our tendency is have eyes to see but not see and ears to hear but not hear. Ezekiel was made a sign for the Israelites just like our actions should be signs of God’s word to the people. Ezekiel spoke to he exiled in order to speak to the people in Jerusalem meaning something spoken in one place and time can also be meant for people in another place and time. The people of the north would know little about any of this until some future time but would have to know eventually because God is speaking to the whole house of Israel. The key here is that prophecy transcends place and time and vision bridges heaven and earth. Your prophecy is your life and the word comes from the Bible. For some it happens in dreams, visions and prophecies but still must be spoken and shown forth. Compassion is the driving force and obedience to speaking and acting forth is key to flowing in the Spirit and being found worthy to continue to receive. Those who have, more will be given. Those who receive will receive more. Those who see will see. We’ve said it here before: receive and then release.

Look at the open mockery of God in our society. Look at the pride. Look at the belief that things will never end and that God no longer sees an act. Look at a people who say God no longer reigns so eat, drink, be merry, and take pride in yourself and your city. Then look at the ruin in the streets of a big city like Seattle and get a glimpse of the desolation that will be left behind. When God does act are you in the right posture; is there oil in your lamp?
