In the 1970's Richard Nixon made a bold move for the economy that decoupled the American Dollar from gold. Some say he did what he had to do to keep the economy from collapsing, but others say it was a good move. In this video I break down some of the economic history in America up to Richard Nixon's presidency and explain why he decoupled the dollar from gold.
